D'Limonene Emulsifiers

DeMULS DLN-532CE

DeMULS DLN-532CE is a 97% active emulsifier which can be used to produce clear D'Limonene emulsion concentrates containing as much as 50% D'Limonene. These clear concentrates can be diluted up to 32:1 with water producing clear dilutions. DeMULS DLN-532CE is biodegradable and non-phenolic. This surfactant will also act as an emulsifier and solubilizer for other oils & solvents and has excellent wetting properties. We suggest the following formulations:

D'Limonene Clear Emulsions

Mix ingredients 1-3 with moderate agitation until clear. Add one half of the water and mix well. Slowly add balance of water and mix until well blended and clear.

Formulations A through F can be diluted up to 32:1 with tap water and will remain clear for at least eight hours.  If clarity of the dilutions is required for more than eight hours, formulations should be diluted with distilled or deionized water in place of tap water.

As with all emulsions, stability may be affected by temperature. The above emulsions should be stored at temperatures between 50F-90F. If emulsions freeze, gently warm to 70F-80F and mix well. Emulsions will clear.

DeMULS DLN-622EG

DeMULS DLN-622EG is a 100% active cost effective emulsifier for D'Limonene and other solvents. It is biodegradable and contains no phenolic components. We recommend the use of DeMULS DLN-622EG in the following formulations:

To vessel, add ingredients 1 through 3 mixing until clear and well blended. Add ingredients 4 and 5 slowly with continuous moderate agitation. Continue mixing until product is clear and homogeneous.

These formulations produce clear emulsions which form opaque blooming emulsions when diluted with water.

D'Limonene Clear Gels

To vessel, add ingredients 1 through 4 in order listed with continuous agitation until well blended. Heat this mixture to 50C - 55C. With moderate agitation, slowly add D'Limonene, maintaining temperature. Continue blending until homogeneous and clear. Product is a liquid at 50C - 55C and will gel upon cooling.

To blending vessel, add water and TSP. Mix until TSP is dissolved. Add ingredients #3 and #4 and continue mixing until well blended. Product will be hazy and slightly viscous at this point.

Add DeCORE IMT-100LF . Mix until product is clear and homogeneous. The pH of this concentrate is ~ 11.

DeMULS DLN-2314

DeMULS DLN-2314 is a unique biodegradable surfactant that is recommended as an emulsifier, which can easily produce clear D'Limonene emulsion concentrates. These concentrates can be further diluted with water and will remain clear. DeMULS DLN-2314 is easy to handle in cold temperatures. If frozen, the product may be thawed at room temperature without requiring heat or mixing. As compared to DeMULS DLN-532CE, it offers better or equal performance, is easier to handle and is more economical and cost effective in producing emulsions. We suggest the following formulations:
