The following water-soluble corrosion inhibitors are primarily based on carboxylate chemistry. They are recommended for use in moderately alkaline systems where little to no foam is essential. Our specialty corrosion inhibitors are non-phenolic, phosphate-free, and hard water stable. They are inherently biodegradable and effective at low concentrations. Several contribute wetting properties and are very effective hydrotropes as well.

A mutifunctional, low foaming, amine-free, multi-metal corrosion inhibitor recommended to protect a variety of metals including aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, steel, cast iron, ferrous and non-ferrous metals in aqueous systems > pH 7. This inhibitor is also an excellent hydrotrope.
A low foaming, 100% active, mixed-amine carboxylate recommended for use in neutral or moderately alkaline water-based formulations. Very effective all-purpose corrosion inhibitor suitable for use on soft metals such as copper and brass. Also effective on aluminum, cast iron, steel, galvanized steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Suitable for use in synthetic cutting fluids, metal cleaners, aerosol products, water-based paints, and cooling tower additives. Does not contain nitrites, chromates, phosphates, or borates.
A low foaming, 100% active, mixed-amine carboxylate for use in moderately alkaline systems. Effective at low concentrations in both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Effective in high chloride environments and at elevated temperature. DeCORE IMT-100LF also contributes lubricating, wetting, and spreading properties. Does not contain nitrites, chromates, phosphates, borates, or azole chemistries.
A 100% active, water-soluble, mixed-amine carboxylate effective as a multi-metal corrosion inhibitor. Recommended for use in moderately alkaline systems at low levels (0.25% – 0.5%) to protect a variety of metals including aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, steel, cast iron, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Does not contain nitrites, chromates, phosphates, borates, or azole chemistries.
DeTROPE CA-100 & DeTROPE CA-90
DeTROPE CA-100 is an outstanding hydrotrope and an excellent corrosion inhibitor for aluminum and ferrous metals. It is 100% active, effective at low concentrations, and will not leave a solid or waxy residue on metal surfaces upon drying. The corrosion inhibition and hydrotropic properties of DeTROPE CA-100 are complemented by good wetting properties. Recommended for use in moderately alkaline systems. Free of nitrites, phosphates, borates, and azole chemistries.
DeTROPE CA-90 is an easier-to-handle, 90% active version of DeTROPE CA-100 that remains liquid at low temperatures (~35°F-40°F). Both products exhibit low, quick-breaking foam.
A non-foaming, 85% active, mixed amine borate for use in alkaline systems only. Very effective corrosion inhibition properties on ferrous metals when used at a minimum concentration of 1% by weight. Suggested for use in aqueous alkaline systems where zero foam is required. Prevents corrosion on aluminum but may cause staining. Does not contain nitrites, chromates, phosphates, or azole chemistries.
ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFER CORROSION INHIBITORS
The following corrosion inhibitors do not contain amines, phosphates, nitrites, azoles, or boron. All products are non-phenolic and readily biodegradable.
A low foaming, water-soluble corrosion inhibitor suggested for use in metal process cleaners and other metalworking products for prevention of rust on steel and cast iron. It also provides limited, short term corrosion inhibition on brass, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Not recommended for use on aluminum.
DeTERIC LP: CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR ACID SYSTEMS
DeTERIC LP, sodium lauriminodipropionate, is a multifunctional, high foaming amphoteric surfactant offering corrosion inhibition properties in strong acid systems and in hard water. Recommended for use in metal process cleaners, automotive and transportation applications, HI&I cleaners such as acidic bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners, and other acidic applications where prevention of rust on steel is desired. This amphoteric also provides limited, short term protection on aluminum in acidic environments, and is an effective corrosion inhibitor in hard water environments.
